Andrew Pepplinkhouse made it 2 races in a row when he was successful in taking out the 9.6km Pepplinkhouse Family Handicap on Saturday. Pepplinkhouse charged to the front in the last 2km and came home for a comfortable win with brother, Dean, in second place and backmarker, Cam Snowden, taking 3rd. In the 5km Handicap Donna Gleeson had a great battle with Nathan Armstrong over the closing stages and held on for her first win whilst Ben Stevens charged through the field to finish third. Charlotte Streat put in a strong run to take out the Novice mile from Charlie King and Olivia Lam with Noah Pepplinkhouse taking out the sealed handicap.
A number of athletes travelled to Melbourne to take part in Round 3 of the XCR Season and Ben Ludbrook and Ben Mornane continued their fine run of form with silver medals in their respective age groups.
